Biography

Nché first earned provincial selection in 2011, when he was included in the Free State squad that participated at the Under-16 Grant Khomo Week in Queenstown.


He was a key player for the Free State U19 team in the 2014 Under-19 Provincial Championship, starting all thirteen of their matches in the competition as his side finished second on the log. In 2015, Nché was named in the UFS Shimlas squad for the 2015 Varsity Cup competition.


Nche played in all 10 games in the 2016 Currie Cup, including the Semi Final against the Lions in Bloemfontein and in the Home Final against the Blue Bulls. (2016 Currie Cup Champions)


Ox Nche was included in the SA A squad vs the French Barbarians. He played his first game for the SA A from the bench on 16 June 2017 in Durban.

He made the starting line-up in their second and final encounter against the French Barbarians. The SA A team won both matches.


PRO14 debut – 1 September 2017 vs Ulster in Northern Ireland


Made his debut for the Springboks 2 June against Wales in Washington DC, the Boks lost 22-20.

Nche’s 2018/19 Pro14 campaign was just short when a 10th minute yellow card against Leinster led to him very hit with a heavy 8 week suspension.
